This survey of work continues to explore shape, colour, form, composition, balance, harmony, and movement. It refers to the process of how Lila Afiouni came to make something aesthetic from that metaphysical state whilst painting and trying to procure from them a concrete materiality. The name ‘Interactions’ comes from the seminal book of colour study by Josef Albers’ titled ‘Interaction of Colour’ published in 1963. Colour
is an integral part of the discovery of placement and outcome in Afiouni’s paintings.
